Waterproof Jewelry

We know that when you get a new Figu piece, you probably will not want to take it off — and the best part is that you can wear it every day with comfort and confidence.

Our pieces are made from 316L steel, a premium alloy composed of iron and chromium, known for its high resistance to oxidation, moisture, and wear. This means they do not easily darken or tarnish, even with frequent wear and occasional contact with water. They are also hypoallergenic.

Unlike silver pieces or those made from less durable metals, the steel used by Figu keeps its natural shine for much longer. You can sleep in your pieces and wear them throughout your day — they were designed to keep up with your lifestyle.

That said, as with any jewelry, proper care makes a difference. We recommend avoiding prolonged contact with water, especially seawater, swimming pools, or chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, and detergents, as these may affect the shine and finish over time.

PVD TECHNOLOGY — LASTING COLOR AND SHINE

For our gold-plated pieces, we use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology — an advanced process that creates an extremely durable coating over the steel.

This method helps ensure longer-lasting color, greater resistance to wear, and added protection against oxidation, making these pieces ideal for everyday wear.

PVD is also an environmentally friendlier technology and is widely recognized for its superior quality compared to traditional plating methods.

While this finish offers excellent durability, it is important to remember that no coating is completely immune to time and continuous wear — especially when exposed to abrasive products or rough surfaces.

At Figu, we believe durability starts at the source. That is why we invest in some of the highest-quality PVD plating available, because not all PVD finishes are the same. This allows us to offer a gold finish that is more resistant and longer-lasting.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR PIECES LOOKING THEIR BEST

  • Avoid prolonged contact with salt water, chlorine, and chemicals.
  • Remove your pieces before exercising or applying perfume or lotion.
  • Store them in a dry place, preferably in individual pouches, to help prevent scratches.
  • Clean them regularly with a soft, dry cloth, using gentle motions.

By following these simple care tips, your pieces will keep their shine and color for much longer. The better you care for them, the longer their shine and finish will last.
